Prince Philip (10 June 1921– 9 April 2021), Duke of Edinburgh (born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark), was a member of the British royal family as the husband of Elizabeth II.

Family of Prince Philip – His mother was Princess Alice of Battenberg. Father was Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark. He also had four elder sisters Margarita, Theodora, Cecilie, and Sophie.

Education of Prince Philip was first educated at an American school in Paris. In 1928, he was sent to the UK to attend Cheam School. Prince Philip dead at the age of 99,two months before his 100th birthday in  Buckingham Palace has announced on Friday 9 April.He was the longest-serving royal consort in British history.The cause of death has not been disclosed, though the palace said that he died peacefully .

The Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II were married for 73 years up until Prince Philip’s death on Friday 9 April.The couple first met as children in 1934 at the wedding of Prince Philip’s cousin, Princess Marina, to Prince George, Duke of Kent.

At the time, the Corfu-born Philip was the Prince of Greece and Denmark. He was 13 years old, while the then Princess Elizabeth was aged eight. The couple met again five years later in 1939 at Dartmouth Royal Naval College.
