The 37th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) is being held in the Indian Ocean region began on November 23 and will end on 24, 2021. CORPAT is held twice in a year to ensure safety and security. It was conducted for the first time in 2002. “The exercise, being conducted as a ”non-contact, at sea only” exercise in view of COVID-19 pandemic, highlights the high degree of mutual trust and confidence, synergy and cooperation between the two friendly navies”. Indigenously built Indian Naval Ship (INS) Khanjar and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft is participating in the CORPAT. Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin, (376) is participating from Indonesia.
